Lindenwood looking for back-to-back championships
The Lindenwood University Water Polo program is on the verge of being a collegiate water polo dynasty. The defending National Champions from Saint Charles, Missouri will be playing for the Collegiate Water Polo Association’s Division I NCCC Championship title for the third consecutive year on November 13,14, and 15. Lindenwood University Water Polo’s goal is to become only the second team in history to win back-to-back titles in Division I. The Lions have twelve returning players from last season’s National Championship team, including offensive juggernauts Toni Storic, Diego Aldea, and Javier Platero, all three of which are returning in hopes of another ring and to make the All-American team for a second straight season. On the defensive side of the pool the team is anchored by new starting goalie Mario Diaz, 2M defensive standouts Marc Tahull and Alex Beltrol. Dave Miller, leads the team as the head coach.
